Quimby, full name Harriet P. Quimby, is my mail delivering, pet pigeon. She is named after the first woman to gain a pilot’s license in the United States. That happened in 1911. A year later in 1912, she became the first woman to fly across the English Channel. She only lived to be thirty-seven-years-old. My Quimby will live forever.
Every now and then, she feels the need to share some of her vast, historical knowledge. This is the place where we will catalog and display that knowledge.
